Music to Lift the Heart – an inspiring evening with violinist Bethany Grace Folsom

Bethany Grace Folsom believes the greatest gift of being a musician is the ability to share her love and passion for music with all—and that passion is unmistakable every time she picks up the violin.
It is in music that humanity finds a single common language. A language of feeling, a language of beauty. And it is through this language that she wishes to communicate to everyone the most important message of all….LOVE.
A highly accomplished and versatile violinist, Bethany has performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the country, including the 
Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, San Diego Symphony, and the Mainly Mozart Festival. Most recently, she made her solo debut at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall.
Her dynamic work has taken her across the globe, where she has performed and recorded with an extraordinary range of legendary artists such as Leopold Stokowski, Yanni, The Moody Blues, Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Kenny Loggins, John Denver, The Manhattan Transfer, Mannheim Steamroller, James Taylor, and the iconic rock band Yes.
Bethany currently performs with the innovative Hutchins Consort—a unique ensemble featuring the full eight-voice violin family—as well as with Larisa Stow and Shakti Tribe, a spiritually inspired rock group that transforms ancient Sanskrit chants into vibrant, contemporary Bhakti rock.
In addition to performing, Bethany has been a dedicated artistic leader and organizer. Since 1980, she has produced “Concerts for a United World” throughout Southern California for and with The Self-Realization Fellowship. These events have ranged from intimate chamber performances to full-scale productions featuring 60-piece orchestras, soloists, and choruses, drawing musicians from ensembles such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Diego Symphony, and the Metropolitan Opera.
